Great news for users of Mix Emergency! The uber-popular Serato Video alternative is now compatible with the latest version of Scratch Live!

Via Inklen.com

The major change in this version is the addition of compatibility with Scratch Live 2.4 and higher. MixEmergency 2.1 is still compatible with older versions – so you can use any version of Scratch Live starting from 1.9.2.

I had previously announced that there were plans to charge an upgrade fee for MixEmergency 1 license holders when version 2.1 of MixEmergency was released, but that has now been delayed until version 2.2.

Changes:

- MixEmergency is now compatible with Scratch Live 2.4 and higher
- Fixed crashes when using certain cameras (and iPhone streaming apps) with the Video Input overlay
- Fixed an issue that could cause excessive CPU use when cueing a track
- Fixed text overlay rendering issues on Retina MacBook Pros
- Fixed incorrectly sized window titles on Retina MacBook Pros

There is a new light out from Blizzard Lighting called the Puck Q6 Unplugged! Its amazing! Battery operated wireless DMX uplight! Works great for uplighting and color effects for DJ’s. I purchased a batch of both the Blizzard Puck Q6W Unlplugged and the Blizzard Puck Q6A Unplugged. They are completely wireless DMX control that works just like the regular DMX cable interface. It has an internal 24 volt battery that lasts for hours! They are very light weight weighing about 8 pounds so you can hang them, if you wish, from almost any structure. Some of the features it has is variable strobe speeds and settings, has built in color macros and chases, It has a full electronic 0 – 100% dimmer, user selectable individual color dimming, also 0 – 100%, full red, green, blue, and white LED’s, Easy to use DMX Master/Slave settings, Sound active mode, easy to use LED control panel, sturdy metal case with dual mounting yokes. It has six 10 watt LED quad color lights each rated for 60,000 hours of use. Overall, these are going to be a life saver for our DJ company – they are extremely bright and will save hundreds of man hours!
